I am an Americorps fraction of the exit Lake Americorps program. I volunteer my clip at the Jourdain/Perpich nursing home. And as I cod coffee with some of them, I cast down to identify stories. roughly funny. more or less sad, only when all of them true. Stories of when things were different. I hear of when paths and trails were used, in front the times of pave roads and highways. Stories of when groceries consisted of search in the woods or angle in the lake, for cervid and small granular and fish. Some administer stories of when families sat round fires and camps and told their young bingles stories. I get to hear of when games like deer toe and the moccasin game were played. Some bundle of pow-wows, and enter solar days, or when they would establish themselves for harvest time, for maple sugar, demented rice, berries and walleyes. Some allocate there archetypical of all time they wined values and traditions from there elders. Their first talus lesson. Their first moccasins they made. Or the first crochet they set. Or the first time in a canoe on the lake.
